Growing students academically, spiritually and socially is the primary purpose and focus of the entire team at Family Christian Academy. We carry out this purpose by laying a solid foundation through our core curriculum. Our students achieve to the highest level through a standard of excellence set in our benchmarks and Philosophy of Education. This standard includes:

  • Above-Grade-Level Expectations In All Classrooms

Lesson plans are created with benchmarks one year above the current standards.

  • SAT Scores

Our students consistently score in the above-average range when compared with other students nationally.

  • Certified Teachers

All instructional teachers are certified and continue to take part in professional development.

  • Conferences

Parent-Teacher conferences are scheduled throughout the year in order to provide feedback on your child's development.

  • Assessments

Students are assessed at the beginning, middle and end of the academic year in order to chart progress in the areas of reading, writing and mathematics. These evaluations allow for accountability and targeted instruction.

  • Christian Principles

The word of God is incorporated into all areas of the curriculum. We believe it is important for us to build a strong foundation for integrity and character.

  • Technology

Students have access to Apple TVs in every classroom, a computer lab and iPads loaded with educational apps.

  • Projects

All curriculum projects are completed in the classroom with instruction and guidance. This includes science fair projects, multicultural day, book reports, research papers and group enrichment activities. This allows students to learn from each other and foster teamwork skills.

  • Accreditation

Accredited through the Association of Christian Teachers & Schools (ACTS). Achievement of accreditation status represents a standard of excellence that is recognized by other institutions and the constituency of the community. Accreditation requirements identify educational and spiritual criteria which establish high expectations for Christian schools.
